The Jimmy Pierce Painting Story

A Word From Our Owner, Kendall Hollingsworth

Dec 16th of last year, the world lost a good man. Jimmy Pierce, founder of Jimmy Pierce Painting, was the kindest and most humble person. His sudden and unexpected death was devastating to everyone who knew him, but especially to his wife, Misty, and their family.

To add to her loss, Misty’s mom, who lived with them, passed away just days after Jimmy. To say her world was turned upside down is an understatement, and it broke our hearts.

I met Jimmy 12 years ago when we hired his painting company for a project we were working on. As everyone else who met him, I immediately saw how much of a joy he was to be around. He was so fun-loving and friendly, and we quickly became friends as we worked on more and more projects together.

As a contractor, I can’t tell you how nice it is to find someone honest and trustworthy, takes pride in their work, shows up when they say they will, and makes everyone look good to the customer. Jimmy made that part of my life so easy and stress-free.

Jimmy was proud of his work, and rightly so. What started 30 years ago with his first job painting a hospital in Lewisburg, Tennessee, bloomed into one of the most trusted painting companies in the shoals and across the southeast.

Whether giving a kitchen a facelift by painting the cabinets, making a house look utterly new by painting the brick, updating the worn facade on a strip mall, or restriping a parking lot, Jimmy did it all with amazing results, and his customers loved him!

After losing him and knowing the chaos Misty was going through, I offered my help to keep the business open and keep Jimmy’s legacy alive.

I’m honored to say that we have accomplished the first steps to doing this, but we need help. We need more work! So, if you or anyone you know has a painting project you’d like to tackle or need somewhere to get your project started, call us today!
